Mister Rogers arrives with a puzzle made with a piece of wood that someone was going to throw away. Taking the puzzle to the kitchen, he takes it apart to show its many small parts. Mister Rogers remembers a time he visited the McFeelys' house and Mrs. McFeely shared a variety of items made from recycled materials. Mr. McFeely stops by with a home movie of a time he visited Leo Sewell's studio where Mr. Sewell sculpts artwork from scrap pieces of material. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Handyman Negri has been assigned the task of fanning the garbage smell towards the sky as Lady Aberlin arrives with a map of the Neighborhood and its surrounding area. She and Handyman Negri realize that Southwood and Northwood are their only remaining options for locating a new dump site. Meanwhile, Lady Elaine suggests that all of the garbage be taken away on a plane; however, she does not know where the garbage should be taken. She and Lady Aberlin call Betty Okonak Templeton in hopes of using the dump in Southwood, but they find that Southwood's dump is also full. A call from Handyman Negri reveals that Old Goat and a friend are on their way from Northwood. On her way to the castle, Lady Aberlin talks with Hilda Dingleboarder who is working on a new invention to help with the garbage. At the castle, King Friday provides Handyman Negri with an "arm saving device" -- a battery operated fan. With mostly bad news to report to the King, Lady Aberlin shares that their only remaining hope is Northwood. Back at the house, sings You Are Special before putting the wooden puzzle pieces into a basket for someone else to help with later. Part of the "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" series.
