Mister Rogers takes viewers to porch where he introduces a small donkey named Jenny who belongs to Farmer Vincent. He feeds Jenny an apple before Mr. McFeely arrives to take her back to the farm. Back inside, Mister Rogers hangs a picture of a donkey in the kitchen to play Pin the Tail on the Donkey. He sings The Way We're Supposed to Be before Lady Aberlin stops by and joins the game. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Donkey Hodie is finding his way around and looking for a place to live. Provided with a small windmill by Mrs. Frogg, Donkey Hodie tries unsuccessfully to make it grow into someplace liveable. Lady Aberlin arrives and shows Donkey Hodie how to make a decorative piece of art work using paper and a scissors. Having learned to make this piece from her mother, Lady Aberlin sings I'd Like to Be Just Like Mom as she cuts. At the tree, Lady Aberlin introduces Donkey Hodie to Henrietta Pussycat. Initially, Henrietta is fearful that Donkey Hodie will bite but he assures her that he only uses his mouth for talking and chewing. Back at the house, Mister Rogers talks about the importance of being sure an animal is friendly before trying to play with it. Mr. McFeely returns with a receipt for Jenny's return and stays for a quick game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Part of the "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" series.
