Mister Rogers arrives with a package he was given by Chef Brockett and opens it to find only a note inside: "I will be over today to fill this up." After pouring himself a glass of milk, Mister Rogers sings I'd Like To Be Just Like Mom and Dad. Still curious about what Chef Brockett will be bringing, Mister Rogers asks Picture Picture for help. Picture Picture responds with a long list of ingredients and a suggestion that “It’s for the King.” Mr. McFeely stops by with a message from Chef Brockett letting Mister Rogers know he is running a little late. Seconds later, Chef Brockett himself arrives. He and Mister Rogers work silently together as they make a cake for King Friday. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday has taken some security precautions including Lady Aberlin serving as a border guard. Cornflake S. Pecially chooses not to bother with the information he must provide in order to visit the castle and decides to stay home. Feeling frustrated with King Friday's new regulations, Lady Aberlin sings It's an Ugly Day. Chef Brockett arrives with the cake and is disappointed when King Friday emerges from his Council Room and asks that the cake be cut up to check for messages of change or poisonous materials. Back at the house, Mister Rogers finds flavored gelatin and a spoon which Chef Brockett had left for him in the refrigerator. Mister Rogers writes Chef Brockett a thank you note before leaving for the day. Part of the "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" series.
