Mister Rogers arrives with a cassette recording of trumpet music performed by Wynton Marsalis. At Negri's Music Shop, Mister Rogers introduces viewers to Mr. Marsalis and talks to him about the importance of practice. Joe Negri comes in to the rehearsal room along with Johnny Costa, Bob Rawsthorne, and Carl McVicker. Together with Mr. Marsalis they perform a jazzy version of It's You I Like. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, it is nighttime and Queen Sara and Prince Tuesday are searching the night sky for Friday's Comet. Royal Trumpeter Adkins plays his trumpet and sings in an unsuccessful attempt to lure the comet. Purple Panda appears and finds that Daniel Stiped Tiger has been frightened by his arrival. Purple Panda shares that Lady Elaine has come to Planet Purple to learn about Friday's Comet. Before leaving Daniel's Clock, Lady Aberlin sings You Are Special. At the Museum-Go-Round, Lady Elaine explains that she has been to Planet Purple and seen Friday's Comet. Still unimpressed by the comet, Lady Elaine continues to place her attention on Henrietta's upcoming birthday. Moving on to the tree, Lady Aberlin talks with Henrietta Pussycat who is wishing that she were beautiful. Lady Aberlin tries to encourage Henrietta by letting her know that she is loved. Back at the house, Mister Rogers discusses talking with others when you feel frightened. Part of the "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" series.
