In the kitchen, Mister Rogers shows a tool used to decorate cakes and uses Picture Picture to show images of several different kinds of cakes. He then sings You Have to Learn Your Trade before visiting Brockett's Bakery. At the bakery, Mister Rogers talks with Mrs. Shenck about the special of the day -- challah. Moving into the back room, Chef Brockett introduces Mister Rogers to Roy Smith, a cake decorator who is putting the finishing touches on a wedding cake. Chef Brockett takes out a fresh cake and Mr. Smith demonstrates some basic decorating techniques and tops the cake with an Eiffel Tower. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Chef Brockett makes a cake for Collette and leaves it sitting on the edge of the Eiffel Tower. Still feeling jealous of Collette, Henrietta is at the castle wishing that the cake would fall. Just then, a strong gust of wind knocks the cake to the ground leaving Henrietta feeling terrible. Thanks to Lady Elaine and her boomerang, the cake is restored to its original form. Back at the house, Mister Rogers attempts to decorate a cake while he talks about how wishes. He concludes by singing Wishes Don't Make Things Come True. Part of the "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" series.
