After the “Hola” song, Señora Alicia and Susana greet each other and introduce the song “Colores.” Señora Alicia invites students to sing along as she points to the respective colors. Next, she reviews the photograph and self-portrait of Frida Kahlo. They also discuss Kahlo’s still-life painting “Viva la Vida.” Señora Alicia reads the poem “Las Sandías.” At the end of the lesson, Señor Enrique paints a still life of flowers and a book.
