Hello, everyone. Welcome to Gigi's Magic Mailbox. I'm Gigi, and I'm so glad you're here.
[upbeat chiming]
Did you hear that? That means something's just arrived in the Magic Mailbox. Let's see what it is.
(Describer) Gigi opens the magic mailbox. Purple fireworks sparkle.
[magical chiming]
"I Am a Big Sister." Well, that's something that I've never been able to say. I was the baby of my family, so I never did get to be a big sister, but I had a big sister and I had daughters and so when my first born daughter became a big sister, it was so much fun. We got her the shirt that said big sister and she got to go to a big sister class to get ready for having a little baby in the house, which ended up being another sister. Well, this is a cute story. If you have your own copy, go grab it and we'll read it together. All right, let's get started.
(Describer) In an animation, a magic mirror reflects Gigi, a red-lipped woman in bejeweled, cat-eye glasses.
[upbeat music]

(Gigi) "I Am a Big Sister," by Caroline Jayne Church. Our new baby arrived today. I am a big sister now, hooray.
[whistle blowing]
(Describer) Big Sister smiles. Baby lies wrapped in a blanket.
I used to be a little baby too, but now I'm big. Look what I can do.
(Describer) Big Sister helps push Baby in a stroller.
I can help when baby feeds and always find what baby needs.
(Describer) Big Sister holds a bottle and burp cloth.
Dirty diaper, yuck. Let's see.
(Describer) Big Sister pinches her nose.
Here's a clean one found by me.
(Describer) Big Sister holds a tiny diaper.
Mommy and Daddy say I'm clever and that I'm the best big sister ever.
(Describer) Big Sister shows Baby a stuffed bear.
When we cuddle, the baby wriggles. Give a tickle, baby giggles.
[baby giggles]
Splish splash bath is lots of fun. Bubbles, washing, and then we're done. When baby sleeps, shh, no noise. I quietly play with all my toys. But if baby wakes with cranky cries,
[baby cries]
I softly sing sweet lullabies. And as baby grows, we'll play together because I'm a big sister forever.
(Describer) Big Sister pulls Baby in a wagon.
Mommy, Daddy, baby, me. We love each other, a family.
(Describer) The family hugs and smiles.
The end.
(Describer) Illustrations of baby items appear.
Let's play seek and find with some baby items. Can you find the blue baby bottle? There it is. Good job. Can you find the pinkish purple comb that you use on your hair? There it is. Good job. Can you find the blue moon? It's kind of small. There it is. Great job. Can you find the teeny tiny purple hearts that are on the baby dress? There they are. Great job. Can you find the baby's pacifier? There it is. You're doing so great. Can you find the tiny rainbow on the baby's overalls? Look hard. There it is. Good job. Can you find the bunny rattle? There it is. Good job. Can you find what the baby would wear on his or her feet? Little baby socks. Do you see them? There they are. Great job. Can you find what the baby wears that sometimes gets really stinky and they have to be changed? Do you see it? The little white diaper? There it is. Great job. Let's do something different for this one. Can you tell me the colors that are on the baby's bonnet? Do you know what a bonnet is? It's a baby's hat. Do you see the baby's hat? What two colors are on it? Yellow and blue. Great job. Let's do one more item. This item is purple and green and when you shake it, it makes a noise. It's a baby's rattle. Do you see it? There it is. Great job. You did so good and that was so much fun finding all the baby items, wasn't it?
(Describer) Gigi sits beside the magic mailbox.
Thank you for joining me today to read "I Am a Big Sister." She wanted to be the best sister in the whole wide world, didn't she and I think she did a pretty good job. Well, I hope that you have a fantastic day and I'll see you soon.
(Describer) Text: "Thanks for watching! Gigi's Magic Mailbox."
