Norwegian Roald Amundsen was perhaps the greatest star of the so-called “golden age” of Arctic and Antarctic exploration. He used Seattle as a base for his efforts in the Arctic. Some of the artifacts from his expeditions can be seen at the National Nordic Museum. Part of "Mossback's Northwest" series.
