The Olympia oyster is the Pacific Coast's only indigenous oyster. For decades, the Olympia was raked out of Washington's beds by the ton to feed hungry lumbermen. Invasive Japanese oysters took over its habitat, but the mighty Olympia might be making a comeback thanks to interested shellfish farmers. Part of the "Mossback's Northwest" series.
