Andres Camilo, who enjoys skateboarding through his neighborhood every day and wants to study medicine, travels to Providencia, Colombia, to meet Charimar, who has prepared a welcome party with music, dance, and traditional food from her island. Charimar teaches Andres to play the drum and together they perform with the island peace band. She also teaches him horseback riding and how to swim in the ocean. Andres Camilo discovers the wonders of the coral reef.
