Part of the "Little Fables" series. Tells a story of a cricket that spent the warm months singing away while the ant worked hard to store food for winter. When winter arrives, the cricket finds itself dying of hunger, and, upon asking the ant for food, is only rebuked for its idleness. The moral of the story is that it pays to work hard. Based on a fable by La Fontaine.
