When Mt. Vesuvius erupted in 79 A.D., a resort city for wealthy Romans disappeared under 20 feet of volcanic ash and rubble. Forgotten for centuries and rediscovered in the 1700's, Pompeii provides opportunity to explore what life was like 2000 years ago. Computer animation re-creates buildings, homes, and activities. Visits the excavation site and uses old film footage for impact.
