Fifth in an eight-part series of professional development workshops designed to give high school teachers ideas about how to present economics in a way that will excite, inform, and entice students. Examines globalization, and shows the effects of voluntary trade and protectionism. Classroom teachers demonstrate the benefits of trade and the consequences of protectionism policies with a "label-search" activity, a discussion on the worldwide ingredients in a candy bar, and a "banana wars" simulation.
