While traveling northward, an attractive young woman and her aunt offer to help a man whose car has broken down. They don't know that he is a fugitive from the law, and his car is a stolen vehicle. He abandons the car and joins them. The authorities pursue the fugitive, unaware of the two women's involvement. A romance begins between the young woman and the fugitive, complicating his plan to escape the country.
