Map It: What Comes Next? Blind/Low Vision Module
This module is a free, online, interactive training designed for transition-aged students who are blind or have low vision. The training utilizes four questions: Who Am I?, What Do I Want?, What Tools Do I Need?, How Do I Get There? This module is designed to provide students who are blind or have low vision with information and skills they will need for a successful transition from a secondary to a postsecondary setting. Some topics included in the training are self-determination skills, effective use of assistive technology, and transition planning. Students will complete a series of self-assessments to help them identify their goals and develop strategies to achieve them. All interactive materials are saved and compiled in an electronic portfolio.
