"Museum Access: The People’s House" explores an interactive museum experience in Washington, D.C., focused on the history, function, and symbolism of the White House. The video highlights museum exhibits such as a full-scale Oval Office replica, immersive theater, Cabinet Room simulation, and galleries featuring White House staff, historic objects, architecture, diplomacy, and state dinners. It explains the White House Historical Association’s mission, founded by Jacqueline Kennedy, and shows how technology, research, curation, and exhibit design make civics and U.S. history engaging and accessible. Relevant to social studies curricula, the program supports learning about American democracy, government institutions, presidential history, public service, and the Executive Mansion as a living museum and workplace. Part of the "Museum Access" series.
