It’s hard not to admire the beauty and wildlife of South Carolina's Lowcountry. Native to this region is one of South Carolina's most unique group of people: the Gullah. The Gullah are a community of African-Americans living primarily in the state’s coastal plain and sea islands. Their distinct culture is directly linked to West Africa with its own linguistic and cultural heritage. Part of the "From the Sky" series.
