Stede Bonnet was a wealthy and well-respected sugar plantation owner from the tiny West Indian island of Barbados. He used his own resources to outfit a sloop he christened "Revenge." With ten guns and 70 men aboard, he left his life of wealth and ease to be a pirate. Part of the "Pirates of the Carolinas" series.
