Mandy Smoker Broaddus is a member of the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Reservation in northeastern Montana. She has worked nearly 20 years in Native American education and is the recipient of the 2015 National Indian Educator of the Year award by the National Indian Education Association. In this episode, Mandy speaks about how educators can help Native American students build capacity and sustain their identities and cultures.
