Protactile Language Interpreting Modules

Protactile Language Interpreting Modules presents a self-directed course of study in Protactile Language Theory through 13 modules.

This program consists of 16 hours of online content, assignments, and assessments, focused on co-navigation, Protactile language, co-presence, Protactile literature, and the Protactile numbering systems and alphabet.

  5. Co-Presence (CEUs 0.1 PS PPO)
  6. Support Service Providers &. Co-Navigators-A Paradigm Shift (CEUs 0.15 PS PPO)
  7. Co-Navigation - Applied Practice (CEUs 0.1 PS)
  8. The Evolution of Protactile Language (CEUs 0.15 PS PPO)
  9. Evolving Principles of Protactile Language (CEUs 0.25 PS)
  10. Protactile Linguistics - Discussing Recent Findings (CEUs 0.1 PS PPO)
  11. Prompt, Adopt, Touch (PAT) (CEUs 0.1 PS)
  12. Protactile Alphabet and Numbering Systems (CEUs 0.1 PS)
  13. Protactile Literature (CEUs 0.15 PS)

To access the modules, sign in to your existing account or with DCMP. If you work with students who are birth through high school age, you qualify for a full account and can access all the DCMP videos. If you do not qualify for a full account, you can sign up for an eLeaner account and still access these modules. Both accounts are free.

After you log in to your account, go to your eLearner Dashboard. There you’ll find a list of modules you can start. You can also return to modules you have in progress.

These modules are approved for RID CEUs. DCMP is an Approved RID CMP Sponsor for Continuing Education Activities. This General Studies and Professional Studies program is offered for 1.6 CEUs at the “little/none” Content Knowledge Level.
