Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), EarthScope is a network of observatories focused on the structures and dynamics of the planet. Scientists use a variety of instruments including global positioning system (GPS) stations, strainmeters, and seismometers when conducting their research. The series also highlights the work and personal stories of EarthScope scientists.
