"Pups of Liberty: The Boston Tea-Bone Party" uses an animal allegory to explain the Boston Tea Party and the causes of the American Revolution. Set in 1773 Boston, the episode shows how unfair taxation, lack of representation in government, colonial protest, boycott, and organized resistance led the Sons of Liberty to challenge British rule. Through characters modeled on Samuel Adams and Paul Revere, the story introduces key civics and U.S. history concepts such as Parliament, taxes, liberty, protest movements, and “No Taxation Without Representation.” This curriculum-connected video supports study of colonial America, early American government, and the events leading to independence. Part of the "Pubs of Liberty" series.
