The Boreal Forest in Northern Canada is the bird nursery for North and South America. The birds and ducks that migrate to the forest are in danger from logging and mining in the area. Conservationists have seen numbers decline over the years, and they have established the Boreal Songbird Initiative to track the health and numbers of the birds’ migrations.
