We can define ugly in a spiritual and material point of view. You can't only assume ugliness as an aesthetic adjective, but as anything that gets away from our value system and what is accepted and embraced by society. Classifying something as beautiful and ugly, is directly related to subjective aesthetic categories. Professor of the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Antioquia Daniel Jerónimo Tobón explains the concept assumed as the aesthetic appearance of evil. Music, paint, theater, and every art in general, have aesthetic subjective components that allow us to understand the different perceptions of beauty and ugliness.
