What really happened during Custer's Last Stand, the US Cavalry's decisive defeat at the hands of Sioux and Cheyenne warriors in 1876? For years a semiofficial version of the history prevailed, despite a contrary story told in 1905 by three Indian scouts who had accompanied Lt. Col. George Custer on his doomed mission. Through a cinematic recreation, this program at last relates the Indian side of the story. The retelling includes insightful profiles of the flawed and flamboyant Custer and his implacable antagonists Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, and Gall.

Would be good information for someone already interested in the topic; kind of drags for those who may not be interested. Probably would use this for enrichment or with a study guide for particular students but not for whole-class viewing.
