Using puppets, familiar stories, humor, and repetition, this episode of the award-winning Salsa series offers children an opportunity to learn Spanish while developing Hispanic cultural awareness. While Mama Bear tricks Niña and the armadillo into finding the black bird statue, the friends practice using the words "pájaro negro" (black bird), colors, and many other useful phrases.
