Amy endures embarrassment, deception, and guilt, but in the end is finally able to accept her parents' deafness. Shows how a hearing child of deaf parents (CODA) is often called upon to be the bridge between hearing and deaf worlds. Communication between Amy and her parents is entirely in sign language.
