Explores some of the many complicated factors which may contribute to a bright child demonstrating a lack of interest in school and learning. Discusses physical and intellectual concerns which are the first possible causes to be examined. Then looks at five contributing factors (personality traits, environment, depression, perception of self, and perception of others) and offers possible solutions.
