The Appalachia region of the United States is famous for its widely varied arts and crafts. Demonstrates making five crafts that represent the area. Lists supplies and tools needed for each craft, and shows the finished projects. Make a rush-weaving frame, a paper quilt wall hanging, a Jacob's ladder, clay folk doll, and a basket. Some crafts require adult supervision. Patterns and directions for these crafts are available through the CMP online lesson guide. From the "Hands on Crafts for Kids" television series.
