Cartoon. Pete leans back on his hands on top of a table with his parents standing by. Caption. Pizza-makers are not supposed to tickle their pizzas.

Pete's in a bad mood because it's raining, and he can't go out and play with his friends. His creative parents know exactly what to do: pretend to make Pete into a pizza! They knead the "dough" (Pete), sprinkle it with "oil and flour" (water and powder), then add "tomatoes and cheese" (checkers and paper scraps). Narrated by Chevy Chase. Based on the book by William Steig.

After reading the book and role playing the story, we watched this animated version to tie it all together. Good language examples; nice lesson on families and feelings.
