In the town of San Andres, Chihuahua, are three children who are friends, Cecilia, Miguel, and Cruz. As the years go by, a young Miguel, flamboyant and fancy free, gets Ana Maria pregnant. She dies and leaves the baby to her brother, who turns out to be Cruz! Cecilia is secretly in love with Cruz. When Cruz discovers that Miguel was his sister's secret lover, they must duel. This is the movie that brought Pedro Infante, Mexico's greatest superstar to the screen.
