This documentary is a special on traditional music kept alive in the home and community of the Queen family in North Carolina. Ballad-keeper Mary Jane Queen and her family carry on the traditions and traditional music of Southern Appalachia. In 2007, Mary Jane Queen received the National Endowment of the Arts National Heritage Lifetime Honor.
