Students will study how a major shift in American consciousness under President Truman concerning civil rights lead to some of the greatest civil rights movement the nation has ever seen. This time period sees an end to the "separate but equal" doctrine, the courage of Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in ending segregation, and the extension of the 4th Amendment.
