Scaredy Squirrel never leaves his tree. It is too dangerous out there. He could encounter tarantulas, green Martians, or killer bees. In his tree, every day is the same. However, if danger comes along, he is prepared. Scaredy Squirrel's emergency kit includes antibacterial soap, Band-Aids, and a parachute. One day his worst nightmare comes true. Scaredy suddenly finds himself out of his tree where germs, poison ivy, and sharks lurk. Based on the book by Mélanie Watt. Part of the "Scaredy Squirrel" series.

My class watched the title "Scaredy Squirrel". We usually read the same story more than once ...actually several times a week. This video presentation of the book held my young students attention and made the story enjoyable. We stopped the video and discussed parts of the story and even backed up and listened again to some parts. This was part of our kindergarten study of the story. We were able to talk about characters, compare changes in the character from the beginning to the end, determine whether is was a fiction or nonfiction book, discuss inferring and prediction. Love this story. I am beyond grateful for another way to present the story.
