Michelangelo was a skilled artist and painting the Sistine Chapel was one of his most dangerous undertakings. He used volcanic ash from the ancient, buried city of Pompeii, but these ashes had to be mixed with corrosive chemicals. He also had to paint on scaffolds while on his back. Nate explores the science behind the fresco painting technique he used. Part of the "Artrageous With Nate" series.
