Morgan Smith, a doctoral student, is conducting an intensive excavation of the Wacissa River. In collaboration with Dr. Michael Waters, his faculty advisor, Morgan searches for artifacts believed to belong to the Suwannee culture group. The Suwannee people are believed to have resided in the southeastern United States around 12,000 years ago. Part of the "EcoAdventures in Northern Florida" series.
