Let's Describe

The goal of "Let's Describe" is to provide educators and families with information and tools on audio description to make daily life more accessible to students/children who are blind or have low vision. The techniques are based on standards for adding audio description to recorded media. This workshop offers an overview of audio description guidelines, as well as hands-on exercises to experience the creation of audio description.

This module is intended for anyone who works with individuals who are blind or have low vision. Teachers, para-professionals, school administrators, and families will all benefit.

Participants who successfully complete the training may download and print a file issued by DCMP that verifies completion of three hours of training.

ACVREP credit and RID CEUs are available.

This online module has been approved for 2 hours of ACVREP credit. DCMP is an approved ACVREP sponsor.

This module is also approved for RID CEUs. DCMP is an Approved RID CMP Sponsor for Continuing Education Activities. This General Studies program is offered for 0.2 CEUs at the “little/none” Content Knowledge Level.
