Davies headed for Afghanistan after Sept. 11, but not as a photojournalist. She left her camera at home. Deeply unnerved by the attack and the subsequent war, she turned down assignments and decided to become a relief worker for six weeks at a refugee camp in Afghanistan. However, she went accompanied by a film crew, who recorded her work in an Afghan refugee camp. The resulting documentary provides ground-level insight into the tedious aftermath of battle.
