Celebration of the "International Joropo Tournament" in Villavicencio, Colombia, a city located in the eastern savannas of the country, inhabited by strong, vigorous, and proud of their roots people. Villavicencio is a city where the echoes of cattle herding blend with the music of native harps, four string guitars, and maracas. The festival includes includes horseback riding, food tasting, and the Joropo tournament in which children arduously prepare, hoping to gain recognition from Colombian and Venezuelan llaneros, and visitors from neighboring countries.
