My Dream Night Out
Now Playing As: Captioned and Described (English)
Follow 12 high school students from the New York Institute of Special Education (Bronx, NY) as they get ready for their "Dream Night Out." Students discuss their original narratives about celebrities they'd like to meet and what they would wear to the meeting. They discuss dress codes, fashion choices, and social etiquette with educators from Art Beyond Sight (ABS), a NYC nonprofit organization. Then they write a fashion statement and head off to Bloomingdale's NYC store in search of the perfect outfit. Their fashion statements and clothing choices are showcased at ABS's annual gala, where the students become runway models. Part of the "Social Skills Cinema" series.
