Christy Smith, the deaf woman who was a contestant on CBS's reality game show, Survivor, shares her experiences in sign language. Christy spent 33 days in the Amazon jungle before being voted off. She talks about how and why she applied for "Survivor," playing the game and communication, conditions in the Amazon, deaf awareness, and making a difference. Voiced narration by Jenna Cassell.

    Christy accepted various challenges related to her deafness growing up. The challenge for being a contestant on Survivor stretched her even further. She became a strong role model and advocate for the Deaf and changed the perspective of many toward the Deaf individual/community. A worthwhile watch!
