Reviews the concepts presented in Problem Solving Part 1. Lists the strategies to choose from when solving problems: guess and check; simpler, related problem; discovering patterns; drawing pictures and diagrams; making lists and charts; and working backwards. Uses the discovering patterns strategy to solve a problem by finding patterns in number sequences. Solves a problem with incomplete information by using the making lists and charts strategy. Uses the drawing pictures strategy to solve a problem about the number of poles needed to build a fence. Then solves a problem about a financial transaction by using the working backwards strategy.
