Medical students at the University of Minnesota, preparing for a career in the field of gerontology, develop a personal understanding of the aging process. Dr. Jim Pacala, Dean of the Medical School, conducts an "Aging Game" workshop, a role-playing exercise to sensitize students to the frail elderly. Participants are assigned a variety of physical disabilities and then play various roles to experience the world from the perspective of the aged.
