Five children tell their own stories about how they've coped with medical conditions which include sickle cell anemia, diabetes, cerebral palsy, a kidney transplant, and ulcerative colitis. Though these kids come from different cultural and family backgrounds, they speak about common themes that cut across those differences such as: how they cope with taking medicine, being in pain, feeling different, and being teased. Also includes interviews with healthy siblings who address issues such as worry, jealousy, and growing up with a sick brother or sister. Concludes with each child offering advice on how to treat children with disabilities.
