This documentary is about one of the last living survivors of a major World War II military tragedy and two secrets that he kept for decades. With the help of his daughter, John Waller tells the true story of the events of Christmas Eve 1944, when his ship was sunk by a German U-boat. He also reveals how he came to be in possession of a French portrait and returns it to its rightful owner.
