"Slurs" are insulting and demeaning words that children encounter on a regular basis, especially online. This video shows how slurs are not only insensitive but emotionally damaging. Students will quickly grasp the role slurs play in bullying, and how bullies use them to intimidate and abuse their victims. Seeing dramatic scenarios and hearing the practical perspectives of other teens, students will understand there is no such thing as an "innocent" use of a slur.
