On April 23, 1519, Hernán Cortés lands in the Yucatan with the intention of seizing the wealth and territory of the Aztec Empire. He needs allies from the surrounding area because he only has 600 men. Ultimately, he is able to convince the Talaxcaltecs to fight with him.
