Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention
Children with disabilities are at a high risk of abuse and neglect. Prevention is dependent on intervening before abuse and neglect can occur. Teaching children personal safety skills to discourage abuse, and making others aware of the child’s knowledge, can greatly reduce the risk of abuse. DCMP has resources to help you and your students learn about child abuse and neglect.
