Part of "The World at War" series. Documents the little known story of the Japanese-American soldiers who distinguished themselves during World War 2 to prove their loyalty to the United States. Exposes the racism and prejudice in America towards Asian Americans before and after the war. Contrast the achievements of the 100th Infantry Battalion and 442nd Regimental Combat Team, their rescue of the Lost Battalion," and their campaigns in Northern Italy and in Germany. Brings the story to the present with the apology from the American government and the belated award of the Medal of Honor to 21 Nisei soldiers.
