Seven deaf and hearing children and Handrew, a signing, all-knowing bookshelf, offer a new approach to traditional nursery rhymes. After learning some ASL, the kids act out the rhymes, insuring understanding and pleasure for all. During the library story hour, they also learn some of the cultural differences and similarities between hearing and Deaf people. Reviews signs at the conclusion.     This DVD does a great job showing people that learning sign language can be fun. The students from Mexico School for the Deaf who perform in this DVD also do a wonderful job acting out The Ugly Duckling, all in sign language.
